{"id":1331,"date":"2010-05-12T08:03:15","date_gmt":"2010-05-12T15:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/?p=1331"},"modified":"2015-06-29T13:22:12","modified_gmt":"2015-06-29T20:22:12","slug":"chasing-70-snow-may-12-rapid-city-sd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/chasing-70-snow-may-12-rapid-city-sd\/","title":{"rendered":"Chasing 70 &#8211; Snow May 12 Rapid City SD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Well, it is snowing in Rapid City on May 12, 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are heading to Canada for business. \u00a0History and our plans should find 60&#8217;s to 70&#8217;s. \u00a0We left Topeka being chased by Tornado&#8217;s and headed north and west through\u00a0constant\u00a0rain. \u00a0When we arrived in Rapid City, our hope was to take off a day to go to Mt Rushmore. \u00a0With the weather ceiling obscuring the faces, we headed to downtown Rapid City for a walk-about and coffee.<\/p>\n<p>Later we got some work done on the Saturn and planned for a dinner at The Corn Exchange which is a French Bistro on Main Street in Rapid City. Wonderful food although a bit pricey, it was worth every penny. A two thumbs up from Wendy and me. Not what you would have expected in this quaint western town and a pleasant surprize. When in Rapid City, it is our top pick&#8230; \u00a0 <a title=\"The Corn Exchange\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cornexchange.com\" target=\"_blank\">The Corn Exchange Website<\/a> BTW, avoid the Firehouse Brewery.<\/p>\n<p>Then we awoke today to the Weather Channel claiming that we were inundated with snow.
