Chill Travelers Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For Chill Travelers, T-Joes is like an addiction to a bad habit!<\/p>\n<p>Chill Travelers Rating:\u00a0[usr 7.5]<\/p>\n<p>When you pull into any town, there are some crusty places that have a reputation for something good. \u00a0When you walk in though, you wonder why until you try something that a local recommends.<\/p>\n<p>When you pull into the parking lot, you notice T-Joe&#8217;s nestled between a pretty crude trailer campground and the Sapp Brothers Truck Stop. \u00a0It is a dirt lot with holes that resemble bomb craters. \u00a0You quickly notice that T-Joes seems well kept in the midst of a rugged environment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/?attachment_id=2820\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2820\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2820\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1762-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1762\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1762-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1762-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1762-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1762.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>T-Joes is a place where you expect to see cowboys and roughneck drillers. \u00a0You do, but you see bank VP&#8217;s, politicians and Chill Travelers. \u00a0It is one of the few places we have visited where we saw almost exclusively pickups and big rigs parked in front indicating a strong following.<\/p>\n<p>Reading the reviews on Urbanspoon would have normally put us off, but when we asked our private banker a few years back the best places she would recommend to eat, T-Joe&#8217;s was up there on her list.<\/p>\n<p>Our first time, we started in the bar area. \u00a0This is our normal place to dine to learn about the area and the best dishes to select. \u00a0For us, it was initially a put-off because T-Joe&#8217;s allows smoking. \u00a0So, if you are totally unable to tolerate smoking in a restaurant, pass on T-Joe&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/?attachment_id=2821\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2821\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2821\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1763-e1432927066206-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1763\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1763-e1432927066206-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1763-e1432927066206-113x150.jpg 113w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1763-e1432927066206-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1763-e1432927066206.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>So, we return and return for the Prime Rib. \u00a0It is a huge cut and semi-pricey. \u00a0 The beef is local and there is some affiliation of T-Joes to a local meat provider on the same property just on the other side of the Sapp Brothers Truck Stop. \u00a0Constantly, the steaks and burgers are good. \u00a0Sides including the salads are constantly good, but have been varied in size or quantity. \u00a0One day a large side salad and the next a little smaller. \u00a0Noticeable, but not off putting.<\/p>\n<p>The ambiance is really a nuevo western saloon. \u00a0Heavy wood chairs, big tables, cowboys, spurs and lots of smoking. \u00a0Country music on the box while CNN and ESPN pay on TVs. \u00a0The people are generally warm and friendly. \u00a0The staff does seem aloof though. \u00a0Seems like you have to warm them up each time. \u00a0Said, once we warm them up, the experience is good.<\/p>\n<p>The bar has a pretty good cross-section of draught beers and a deep selection of bottled beers. \u00a0Wendy is a fan of New Belgium&#8217;s 1554 dark. \u00a0They have it!<\/p>\n<p>So normally, our ranking would be higher except for the smoking. \u00a0People complain about higher prices as well, but they seem in line with places across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Last point. \u00a0Over the years when we visit Cheyenne, we always go back to T-Joe&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/110\/856155\/restaurant\/T-Joes-Steakhouse-Saloon-Cheyenne\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;
