{"id":2887,"date":"2015-06-08T09:28:40","date_gmt":"2015-06-08T16:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/?p=2887"},"modified":"2015-06-05T09:36:01","modified_gmt":"2015-06-05T16:36:01","slug":"luxury-diner-chill-travelers-cheyenne-good-eats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/luxury-diner-chill-travelers-cheyenne-good-eats\/","title":{"rendered":"Luxury Diner &#8211; Chill Travelers Cheyenne Good Eats"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Luxury Diner Reopens in Cheyenne Wyoming<\/h3>\n<p>Chill Travelers Rating: [usr 8.5]<\/p>\n<p>Chill Travelers were distressed when we returned to Cheyenne to\u00a0find that the Luxury Diner was closed. \u00a0The sign said closed until further notice and Google posted, &#8220;Closed Permanently.&#8221; \u00a0 We soon realized that a former customer has become the new owner and reopened June 1, 2015. \u00a0Wheeww, that was a close one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/?attachment_id=2889\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2889\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2889\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/luxury-diner-2.jpeg\" alt=\"luxury diner 2\" width=\"261\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/luxury-diner-2.jpeg 261w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/luxury-diner-2-150x111.jpeg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 261px) 100vw, 261px\" \/><\/a>We have been going to the Luxury Diner for years. \u00a0It is a repurposed old rail trolley car that has evolved over the years. \u00a0Off of Lincoln Way west of Cheyenne town center it stands at the foot of the mid-century Wyoming Motel classic neon sign. \u00a0This is a heartland cowboy railroader original masterpiece of Americana.<\/p>\n<p>Worth a visit for just a look, this is a place to get real home cooking with a Cheyenne twist. \u00a0Add the people watching aspect and you have a place or real good eats that is both entertaining and authentic.<\/p>\n<p>The menu from the new owners is almost identical with the addition of eastern cheesesteak sandwiches. \u00a0There are probably ten different cheesesteaks available as well as the old standards.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/?attachment_id=2890\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2890\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2890\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/luxury-diner-3-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"luxury diner 3\" width=\"165\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/luxury-diner-3-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/luxury-diner-3-113x150.jpg 113w, https:\/\/www.chilltravelers.com\/chill\/wp-content\/uploads\/luxury-diner-3.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 165px) 100vw, 165px\" \/><\/a>For Chill Travelers, this has always been a breakfast place. \u00a0Simple pancakes with German sausage to a chile cheese burrito New Mexico style are just some of the simple foods they serve. \u00a0The chicken fried steak is naughty and the biscuits &amp; gravy are true southern style. \u00a0Yes, Santa Fe is just down the I-25, but what is important to point out is that each ethnic or regional dish is authentic to its origin. \u00a0Old standards specials carryon the railroad tradition with names like &#8220;the Conductor&#8221;, &#8220;Caboose&#8221; etc. \u00a0The food is well prepared and the staff very attentive. \u00a0The decor is authentic railroad memorabilia with many regulars sitting at the tables and counters.<\/p>\n<p>We are jumping on the bandwagon here quickly because talking to the new owner, she told us that she inherited nothing from the old owner and has to rebuild from scratch. \u00a0Good job so far and hopefully this will be the beginning of a entire new era for Luxury Diner and friends.<\/p>\n<p>It is inexpensive good food with a slice of Americana worth visiting and enjoying their good eats.<\/p>\n<p>Chill at Luxury Diner in Cheyenne.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zomato.com\/cheyenne-wy\/luxury-diner-cheyenne\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; width: 200px; height: 146px; padding: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zomato.com\/logo\/17321863\/ibiglink\" alt=\"Click to add a blog post for Luxury Diner on Zomato\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zamato acquired Urbanspoon<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>When in Cheyenne Wyoming, Luxury Diner is a heartland cowboy railroader original masterpiece of Americana.
