Two people that built a motor coach with a 130,000 btu Italian gas range, a full-size home refrigerator and a Fisher Paykel dishwasher might qualify us as foodies. Certainly, we qualify as localvores and attempt to eat locally whenever we can.
The fact is that most of the time, we buy local foods and cook for ourselves and friends. On occasion, when locals rave about a place to eat, we try it. We are rarely disappointed and often surprised.
So, we started a list of our own and will continue to add as we discover noteworthy places.
As a sort of disclaimer, if you are one that likes atmosphere over the food, you should probably not go where we suggest. Our choices are often local favorites. Also, unlike some other sites, we are not compensated for listing these eating establishments. In fact, most do not even know they are listed here.
